Buses used for excursions are of the highest standard available. All buses are air-conditioned and equipped with a microphone.
Lightweight summer clothing is suitable for most of the year, but sweaters or jackets may be needed for the winter months, especially in the evenings. Good quality sunglasses are advised, and photo-chromatic lenses for those who wear spectacles. Hats or some protection for the head are advisable when in direct sunlight. The United Arab Emirates has conservative dress traditions. Swimwear should be confined to the beach and hotel pools. Men and women should ensure shoulders and knees are covered when in public, especially in souks, shops and villages.
Normal tourist photography is acceptable, but it is considered offensive to photograph Arab women. It is also courteous to ask permission before photographing men. Photographs of government buildings or military installations are not allowed.

Started off well, pick up in Abu Dhabi on time. However, it all went wrong once we arrived in Dubai. Drivers turning up late, not able to see all places on the schedule, no stop for lunch. At one point we were told to get a taxi, which the company would pay for - which they did. On way out, we did drop offs for other people on the trip, one on the outskirts of Dubai, driver then realized 2 passengers were in central Dubai so had to turn round and go back in to town - the journey back to Abu Dhabi took hours. Driver then got lost on arrival in Dubai. On the plus, staff were polite and genuinely sorry about the mess us. Not a good day though.

Interesting tour of Dubai, certainly worth doing just to get some bearings and see the places to return to. Shopping at the Souq was a highlight of this one.

It would have been useful to be told we were being picked up by a taxi to then be taken to Dubai to meet the main tour. We were under the impression that the taxi driver was our guide, consequently, it started badly as he didn't impart too much information!! After an 80 minute plus drive to Dubai, we then had to pick up another family before joining the main tour. We arrived at their hotel and were told by the taxi driver that it would be 5 minutes. It was 30 minutes later before we left and were told (only after asking) every Q10 minutes that we would be leaving in 5 minutes. The sights and tour was okay, but spoilt by the travel arrangements, so not one I could recommend.
