Private Akshardham Light and Sound Show followed by Dinner

Your Akshardham tour package will begin at 16:00 hours wherein you will be picked up by our driver in an air-conditioned car. The driver will take you to the famous temple located approximately 30 kms away from Ahmedabad city i.e 45 minutes drive by road.

As you reach the temple, our spokesman will provide you entry tickets and an expert English speaking tour guide. The guide will give a brief introduction about the temple before entering like how this temple was built in 1992. The complete use of pink sandstone 6,000 metric tonne sourced from Rajasthan enriching its beauty. The fact stating not even a single use of iron or steel in the temple will surprise you.

After a brief introduction enter the imposing temple and gaze at its astounding beauty. Witness the massive 7 feet high gold plated idol of Swaminarayana weighing 1.2 tonne enshrined in the temple. Notice the architecture following Vaastu Shastra with 97 carved pillars, 17 domes, 8 balconies, 220 stone beams and 264 sculpted figures. You will find idols of lineages of Lord Swaminarayana in each corner of the temple. The pillars and walls are decorated with intricate incised patterns and paintings and are worth the praise. The first floor of the temple called Vibhuti Mandapam contains idols exhibiting spiritual character of Swaminarayana. While, the basement of the temple called Prasadi Mandapam displays his relics.

Then move towards exhibition halls inside the temple complex to see amazing audio-video diorama based on theme of central ideas of Hinduism. The temple offers lot of things to see. Another exciting feature of this temple is an amphitheatre conducting Sat-chit-anand light and sound show with realistic feels through vibrations and clear sound. Enjoy the 45 minute light and sound show telling life incidents of Swaminaraayana. Later, enjoy the ride and splendid gardens with impressive designer fountains.

Late in the evening you will be taken for delectable dinner in a restaurant. The trip will conclude by dropping you safely back to your hotel in Ahmedabad.
