Start your visits with the remarkable Greco Roman necropolis in Egypt. The underground Catacomb consist of three layers all below the ground level, however the lower level is currently not open for visit due to the ground water. The reliefs of the Catacombs were inspired by a special mixture of Roman, Hellenistic, Pharaonic, and ancient Egyptian art.

Stop At: Pompey's Pillar, Alexandria Egypt
Stop by the 27th meters high memorial column which is mistakenly called Pompey Pillar due to unproved believe that the remains of the great Roman general Pompey were in a pot at the top of the column. The Huge red granite column was erected in the honor of the Roman Emperor Diocletian.

Stop At: Roman Amphitheatre, Raml Station Square At Kom El Dekka near the Roman Museum, Alexandria 21599 Egypt
Drive to the Roman Amphitheatre, the only known one in Egypt from the roman era. The well preserved Amphitheatre was used during the Roman, the Byzantine, and the Early Islamic era. It was used for music ceremonies and later as a conference hall. Earlier, the Amphitheatre had ceilings with domes that were based upon large columns to protect the audience from sun and rain. Moreover, these domes were used to magnify the sound of the music and the chants during different performances. Unfortunately, they were all destroyed.
Don’t miss during the tour to stand on the middle tile facing the audience section and try to speak up; you will notice how this spot magnify your sound due to the semi-circle design of the audience stadium.

End the tour by visiting the National Museum of Alexandria. The Museum displays more than 1,800 items from different eras including the Pharaonic, Ptolemaic, Roman, Byzantine, and Islamic. Among them interesting collection of antiquities that were found under the sea in Alexandria.
