Excellent Exhibit!! Get the tickets early because the on line tickets sell out too. Even with tickets in hand the line of ticket carrying patrons goes around the building waiting for their turn to enter!!! Have ice cream at take away stand between the museums.
Beautiful museum! Excellent layout with a large collection. Great respect paid to a great, understated artist!
Great collection of artwork. Loved the option of taking a picture with the Sunflowers for free. Nice remembrance.
early arrival, very efficient staff, very informative visit It was a little difficult finding the house,,,,because it was our first touring day in Amsterdam, but everyone we met along the way was familiar of the house and spoke english
A comprehensive and emotive look at the life and art of a troubled but talented man. It was a privilege to be able to enjoy the huge collection of paintings and drawings by Van Gogh and many other renowned artists, all in one beautiful building.
Had to wait for our time to enter which helped a little with the crowd. But it was challenging to get around. Up escalator was broken and elevator was broken for a while. Did not get a listing of where specific paintings were on view, so went up and down many times. Learned a lot about Van Gogh!
STL tickets purchased in advance in USA won the day. Many visitors turned away, as we arrived at our 9 am time slot, due to “all tickets sold out for the day.” Beautiful facility with natural lighting that enhances the experience. Organized collection enabling ease of review of art and personal documents. Handicapped access and plenty of toilet facilities. Two gift shops and a pleasant food court not overpriced and immaculate. Overall awesome
Museum was crowded, however their “dial a number” those of audio system was very helpful and paintings were wonderful. Nice cafe in which to take a breather. Also enjoyed the gift shop.
Loved seeing the paintings and learning about the life of Vincent Van Gogh. The audio visual guide was helpful.
We are not artsy people but do not miss this museum! Get the headsets. You will have a choice to do a fast tour. We were short on time and saw the entire museum in an hour. Learned a lot and really enjoyed the experience. Our entry time was 9:15 but they let you enter with the 9am group. Go EARLY...
great musuem
We enjoyed the museum very much. However, although we had tickets in advance getting in was a bit confusing since there were several lines. Having the advance tickets did not preclude having to stand in line for 15 or 20 minutes. The photography prohibition was disappointingThe Rijksmuseum had no such restriction---other than no flash and no tripod.
This is a great museum with not only works of Van Gogh, but other artists of his time as well. I chose to visit the Museum on a Sunday. I bought my voucher on Viator, but I still had to wait in two queue's to get into the museum. This place is very busy, so plan to visit early in the morning if possible. It is for sure worth the 25 for the ticket. The gift shop is also very good if not a bit pricey.
It was a little confusing getting the ticket for the museum--it would have helped to have some instructions along with the ticket when I purchased it. Other than that, the museum was excellent and I'd recommend it as a 'must see' when you are in Amsterdam!
