I was absolutely amazed by this tour! First, let me begin by saying that the owner, Marloes Mazzei, provided my family with a spectacular day. This is a private tour for a maximum of 7 people. It was only my family of 4, but the company van can easily accommodate 7 people. Marloes (Lucy) picked us up from out hotel and took us to kayak in a lovely, quiet national park. Lucy is a wonderful conversationalist and gave us a great deal of information about Amsterdam and the Netherlands. She is also multi-lingual and can easily converse in many languages. After the kayak trip, which included the kayaks and a lovely, delicious lunch, we were whisked away to Giethoorn. Giethoorn is known as the Venice of the Netherlands and it was incredible. Our tour with Lucy included a boat ride on the canals and more history about Giethoorn and the engineering skills of canal and land creation. Lucy patiently waited while we shopped Giethoorn after our boat ride and she was kind enough to help us pick up some groceries in the local market, too. If you are hesitant about booking this tour due to the price (as I initially was) you shouldn't be. It is worth every penny for a private tour with such personalized attention. Lucy was warm, knowledgeable, and accommodating. This tour was the highlight of our vacation and we will be talking about it for many, many years to come.
