The meeting point for this tour is in front of this ethnographic museum. Literally translating as ‘museum of the tropics’ it was originally established as the Colonial Museum in 1864. Stop At: Oosterpark, Amsterdam The Netherlands
Next, we’ll take a stroll through the Oosterpark, a large city park located in Amsterdam Oost. Here you will hear more about the background of Amsterdam as an immigration country. Considered Amsterdam’s most multicultural park, it hosts a variety of festivals throughout the summer. There is also a 'speaker’s stone' where people speak their minds every Sunday at 1pm.
Duration: 15 minutes
Stop At: Javastraat 30, 1094 HH Amsterdam, Netherlands

We will take stroll through the Dappermarkt, one of the oldest markets in Amsterdam. On the way to the last stop of this tour we pass the elegant 19th century Artis Zoo. It is the oldest zoo in the Netherlands and one of the oldest zoos of mainland Europe. The Hollandsche Schouwburg was built as a theatre in 1892, but during the Second World War it was used by the German occupier as a deportation centre for Jews.
