Surrounding Villages Antigua

This tour will visit interesting towns and plantations around Antigua. Our first stop will be at San Juan del Obispo. We will visit the monastery of the first bishop of Guatemala, Francisco Marroquin. We go on to the Ciudad Vieja. We explain to you the sad history of this town, which was the second city founded by Spanish in Guatemala. We visit the organic macadamia farm were we learn about many medical functions of the macadamia nut. We visit the town San Antonio Aguas Calientes to visit the local cooperative market. We end our tour in a Jade factory, where you can see how Mayans worked in the past and how it is done now.
