Stop At: Peten, Tikal National Park Guatemala
Experience the history, culture, beauty and nature of Guatemala while visiting the incredible archeological site of Tikal, located in the Guatemalan jungle.
Upon arrival at Flores Airport, you'll be driven to Tikal National Park (Parque Nacional Tikal), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With an area of more than 341 square miles (550 sq km), this national park contains thousands of separate ruin structures scattered around, each full of fascinating history.
Visit the Mayan ruins with your expert guide and explore everything from the Central Acropolis, a maze of courtyards and small temples, to Complex Q and R, where you'll see twin pyramid complexes with altars set in front of the temples. Visit the massive Temple I, the Temple of the Grand Jaguar. Built to honor and bury King Moon Double Comb, the 144-foot (44-meter) temple is a small enclosure of three rooms with outside stairs leading to the top of the steep temple. Across the way, visit the equally beautiful Temple II, the Temple of the Masks.
Next, enjoy a delicious lunch at Tikal National Park before having some free time. Then, head back to the Flores airport to begin your transfer back to Antigua.

Our trip was awesome. The guides were good and spoke English and Spanish. Tikal is incredible and is a must visit if you are in Guatemala.
An absolutely amazing day!!!! This tour was the highlight of the trip for me. Yes, it is a long day, but you are able to do so much! The pickup and drop off driver was a good driver and pleasant to talk to. I was impressed that he was able to recognize me in the evening and waved me over which was a good thing as I was tired after the long day. The guide for the ruins was very informative and was able to adjust the schedule to give us the entire guided tour even though our flight was delayed. I felt we had the perfect amount of guided tour and free time to explore and take pictures. I would happily book again and recommend this tour to everyone!
This was a well-organized and efficient tour. Tikal is a must-see.
Would highly recommend this one day tour to young healthy people. Older people and children would find this tour very difficult. We were picked up on time. We didn't have any problems with the flights, however I'd warn you to be at the gate before the boarding time. The guides were knowledgeable.
Wow! This tour was incredible! I was picked up from my hostel in Antigua right on time. My driver did not speak English but dropped me off and communicated to me that I need to check in at TAG airlines. I got to the airport a couple hours early for the flight but that was okay. In Flores a man was waiting for me with my name on a sign. he took my passport to buy my ticket for Tikal and returned it to me. I was loaded into a tour bus with 3 other people and was told I would have my own guide for the tour in English and the other group would have a Spanish speaking tour guide. It was a bit confusing but I think that we were just sharing transportation and that it was with 2 completely different tour groups because when we got there we did not stay together. My tour guide was one of the best tour guides I have ever had. His name was Erdozain and he knew everything there was to know about this place and was incredible about spotting wildlife. He had binoculars and let me peek through them to get a peek at the birds we saw an orange crested falcon which apparently can only be seen in 2 places in the world., along with oscellated turkeys, pizote, woodpeckers, and spider monkeys. His English was fantastic and he knew the history of the whole place inside and out. He made the trip very special by not letting look ahead of time at the temples until we got to just the right spot, then BOOM, you would just be awestruck by how massive the place was. I appreciated that very much. You could tell he was very passionate about this place and that he loved sharing it with people. After the tour we drove back to Flores, the other group of people were tired of walking so we just drove around Flores to see the town and we were dropped back at the airport. I loved this adventure and would recommend it to anyone who wants to see this beautiful place and is interested in history.
A friend and I bought a day trip from this website, the flight was at 6:30am leaving Guatemala city, returning at 6:30pm from Flores to Antiqua. The pick-up time was 3:45 in Antiqua for a 1-hour bus ride to the airport. The van showed up around 3:55, which was fine with us. We got picked up at Flores after arrival easily. The tour guide Mr. Lopez was very knowledge and nice, he was local and able to lead us through short cuts and main sites, and more importantly, he was able to show us local animals in the park, such as spider money, wild turkey, etc. My complain about the trip is on the way returning to Antiqua: no one was there to pick us up after arrival from Flores to Guatemala city. It was a long and exhausting day, we paid the round trip service, mainly to be trouble-free. But, after arriving at Guatemala city airport, no one was meeting us. After calling the local number several times, we had to take our own taxi back to Antiqua from Guatemala city airport, paying an additional 25. This is absolutely unacceptable. Tikal was nice: an ancient cultural site with natural environment. It is really worth visiting! But I am not sure I want to recommend booking this round-trip. Maybe an overnight stay in Flores is more worthwhile and less stressful. Jenny from Atlanta, USA
Good trip but we waited 45 mins in Flores while the trip coordinator collected people from hotels. That was dead time sitting outside the airport on a bench. This should be tightened up!
