Garni pagan temple is the only standing Greco-Roman colonnaded building in Armenia.The temple is the most significant structure in Armenia from the pre-Christian period and has become a symbol of this era.The pagan temple was dedicated to the God Mihr as a symbol of light. It is one of the most ancient landmarks in Kotayk and whole Armenia which has survived since pagan period.

Geghard is a medieval monastery in the Kotayk province of Armenia, being partially carved out of the adjacent mountain, surrounded by cliffs.It was built in the 4th century by The First Armenian Catholicos - Gregory the Illuminator. The monastery had thus been originally named Ayrivank (Այրիվանք), meaning "the Monastery of the Cave". The name commonly used for the monastery today, Geghard, or more fully Geghardavank , meaning "the Monastery of the Spear", originates from the spear which had wounded Jesus at the Crucifixion, allegedly brought to Armenia by Apostle Jude, called here Thaddeus. Now it is displayed in the Echmiadzin treasury.

Day 2: Khor Virap Monastery-Areni Winery-Shaki waterfall-Tatev Ropeway-Tatev Monastery
Stop At: Khor Virap, Lusarat, Ararat Province
The Khor Virap meaning "deep dungeon" is an Armenian monastery located in the Ararat plain in Armenia, near the closed border with Turkey. Khor Virap's notability as a monastery and pilgrimage site is attributed to the fact that Gregory the Illuminator was initially imprisoned here for 13 years by King Tiridates III of Armenia. A chapel was built in 642 at the site of Khor Virap by Nerses III the Builder as a mark of veneration to Saint Gregory. In 1662, the larger chapel known as the "St. Astvatsatsin" (Holy Mother of God) was built around the ruins of the old chapel, the monastery, the refectory and the cells of the monks. Now, regular church services are held in this church. It is one of the most visited pilgrimage sites in Armenia.

Areni Winery is located 110 km from Yerevan, at the entrance to the small village of Areni. The winery is a two-storey stone building with an annexe. It has a cellar with bottles of wine, huge barrels, and a small production facility, as well as a café, souvenir shop, and, of course, a tasting room.In the tasting room, you can taste various red and white wines made from grape, pomegranate quince, cherries, blackberries, raspberries, peaches, and other fruits.

Shaki Waterfall is situated in Armenia . According to legend, was named after the beautiful girl Shake who rushed from a steep cliff escaping from the violence of enemy conquerors. Shake’s long dress turned into a picturesque waterfall named after her.The altitude is 18 m. The waterfall is located 3 km North-West of Sisian city, in gorge of the River Vorotan.

The Wings of Tatev reversible aerial tramway was built within the framework of the Tatev Revival Project. The aerial tramway was officially launched on 16 October 2010. In the same year, on 23 October, it set the Guinness World Record for the longest non-stop reversible aerial tramway. It is a 5.7 km cableway between Halidzor and Tatev monastery.
Tatev Gateway is a non-commercial project; the entire profit from the project is invested in the restoration of Tatev Monastery and the development of the local community.

Day 3: Tsaghkadzor Cable car, Kecharis Monastery, Lake Sevan, Sevanavank Monastery
Stop At: Kecharis Monastery, Tsakhkadzor, Kotayk Province
Kecharis Monastery is a medieval Armenian monastic complex dating back to the 11th to 13th centuries, located 60 km from Yerevan. Nestled in the Pambak mountains, Kecharis was founded by a Pahlavuni prince in the 11th century, and construction continued until the middle of the 13th century. In the 12th and 13th centuries, Kecharis was a major religious center of Armenia and a place of higher education.

Lake Sevan is the largest body of water in Armenia and the Caucasus region. It is one of the largest freshwater high-altitude lakes in Eurasia.The lake is situated in Gegharkunik Province, at an altitude of 1,900 m above sea level.The Lake consists of two unequal parts called Big and Small. In the north-western part is located the Sevan’s Peninsula which is famous for its medieval monasteries and khachkars(cross-stones).

Sevanavank is a monastic complex located on a peninsula. Initially the monastery was built at the southern shore of a small island. After the artificial draining of Lake Sevan, which started in the era of Joseph Stalin, the water level fell about 20 metres, and the island transformed into a peninsula.According to an inscription in one of the churches, the monastery of Sevanavank was founded in 874 by Princess Mariam. At the time, Armenia was still struggling to free itself from Arab rule. The two churches of the complex, Surp Arakelots meaning the "Holy Apostles" and Surb Astvatsatsin meaning the "Holy Mother of God".

Tsakhkadzor Ropeway is located on a slope of Teghenis Mount. Everything here is designed for high quality rest, and a very big role in it has the cable car, which was built with high European standards. Tsaghkadzor’s arm-chaired ropeway lies at the eastern slope of Teghenis Mountain (2819 m).
