Day 1: Yerevan

Pass By: Zvartnots International Airport
Arrival at Zvartnots International Airport. Welcome, transfer to the hotel. Time for rest.

Day 2: Yerevan: Matenadaran - Tsitsernakaberd- City tour - Cultural Evening

Stop At: Matenadaran - The Museum of Ancient Manuscripts, Yerevan
We will explore the landmarks and main points of interest in the city. First destination to be revealed is Matenadaran. which preserves thousands of ancient manuscripts with timeless charm.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Tsitsernakaberd, Yerevan
After lunch, we will visit the Armenian Genocide Memorial, Tsitsernakaberd, and its museum. Later, we will attend a cultural evening in Yerevan.

Day 3: Yerevan – Hovhannavank – Saghmosavank – Amberd - Qari Lich - Yerevan

Stop At: Hovhannavank
In the morning we will head to the monastery of Saint John or Hovhannavank of 4th century

Stop At: Saghmosavank Monastery, Artashavan, Aragatsotn
Afterward, proceed to the monastery of Saghmosavank ("monastery of the Psalms") of the 13th century

Stop At: Amberd Fortress, Byurakan, Aragatsotn
In the afternoon, we will discover the fortress of Amberd of the 11th century (2300 m of alt.) with its dungeon, baths, ramparts

Stop At: Vahramashen Church, Byurakan, Aragatsotn
we will discover also the Vahramashen church

Stop At: Kari Lake, Byurakan, Aragatsotn
Later, we will trek from Qari Lich (Stone Lake)

Stop At: Mount Aragats, Aragatsotn
to the southern summit of the country's highest mountain, the Aragats (4095 m). In the evening we will return to the capital. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Yerevan: History Museum - City Tour

Stop At: History Museum of Armenia, Yerevan
Today we will unpack History Museum and have free time for self-discoveries.

Day 5: Yerevan - Khor Virap – Zangakatun – Areni – Noravank - Herher

Stop At: Khor Virap, Lusarat, Ararat Province
Today, after the breakfast, we will head to uncover Khor Virap Monastery with flawless view of Mount Ararat. Next, we will take a direction to the south. Afterward, we will stop in Areni, a charming wine village. We will have a wine-tasting experience at a winemaker's family.

Stop At: Noravank Monastery, Areni, Vayots Dzor Province
The hike will continue to the Monastery of Noravank of the 13th century ("New Monastery"). Later, we will have lunch in a picturesque cave specially designed for travelers. In the evening, we will arrive at Herher village. Homestay in Herher.

Day 6: Herher - Vayots Sar - Herher

Pass By: Surp Sion Monastery, Herher, Vayots Dzor Province
We will take a beautiful hike to Vayots Sar (2581 m) and descend into its deep crater. After desending the mountain, we will return to our guesthouse in Herher.

Day 7: Herher - Selim Caravanserai - Armaghan - Hayravank - Sevan

Stop At: Selim Caravanserai, Aghnjadzor, Vayots Dzor Province
Today we will continue to the Gegharkunik region. We will head to the 14th-century Caravanserai of Selim.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Hayravank Monastery, Hayravank, Gegharkunik Province
later, will hike to The Mount Armaghan, where we will explore its crater and lake. Later, we will admire ancient Monastery Hayravank, located at the shore of the Lake Sevan. Next, we will stop at our cozy hotel in Sevan.

Day 8: Sevan – Sevanavank – Geghard - Basalt Organs – Garni - Yerevan

Stop At: Lake Sevan, Lake Sevan, Gegharkunik Province
The day begins with a morning walk on the peninsula of Sevan

Stop At: Monastery Sevanavank, Sevan, Lake Sevan, Gegharkunik Province
Visit Sevan's two churches, Holy Apostles and Holy Mother of God (9th century)

Stop At: The Monastery of Geghard, Geghard, Kotayk Province
In the afternoon, we will depart to the 13th century Geghard Monastery
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Garni Temple, Garni, Kotayk Province
Later, we will continue the route to the impressive site of Garni with its pagan temple of the first century. We will unfold its beautiful basaltic organ in the gorge. In the evening we will return to Yerevan and you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 9: Yerevan – Zvartnots - Etchmiadzin – Aknashen – Yerevan

Stop At: Zvartnots Temple, Vagharshapat, Armavir Province
The day will be dedicated to the discovery of the Armavir region, including the ruins of the 7th century round Zvartnots Cathedral, the Church of St. Hripsime and the Etchmiadzin Cathedral, the Armenian "Vatican", the seat of the Catholicos and the oldest Christian site of worship in the country (301-303). Afterward, we will depart to the village of Aknashen, where we will have Armenian traditional meals and participate in the preparation of lavash, traditional Armenian bread. In the evening, we will return to Yerevan and prepare for departure.
