The next is Garni, the only pagan temple in Armenia, which survived after adopting Christianity. It is located not far from Geghard monastery. This is the only standing Greco-Roman colonnaded building in Armenia from the first century A.D., as a temple dedicated to the God of Sun, Mihr. This astonishing monument is symbolizing pre-Christian Armenia and representing a world value. These two wonderful monuments are attractive for both locals and foreigners.
