About this activity
Do You want to recognize Armenia? If yes, this tour is special for You!
The centuries-old history of Armenia can be divided into two spiritual periods: pagan and Christian.
Paganism in Armenia symbolizes temple Garni, Christianity - the monastery complex Gegard. These two monuments are not so far apart from each other and complement each other.
After morning hotel pickup in Yerevan, the first point of our excursion is in the 4170-year-old village of Garni where we will visit the magnificent Hellenistic Sun Temple of Garni from the 1st century.
Further, we will move to Garni Canyon, where located Basalt columns along Garni gorge. Here You will see the wonderful natural rocks, formed of regular hexagonal cylinders. These rocks start from the beginning up to the highest point of the canyon. The composition is called "Symphony of Stones”.
The last point of our tour will be one of the famous and impressive places of pilgrimage for Orient Christians - Geghard Cave Monastery: the mixture between the building and the cave and the different light conditions and the spring at the back of the monastery complex make a great impression on them.
The end of tour You will return to Yerevan.
