About this activity
Day:1 Arusha/Tarangire
After breakfast, your driver-guide will collect you, and your safari will commence. You will drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. This takes approximately 3 hours. The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River that crosses through the park, being the only source of water for wild animals during dry seasons. The park is famous for its huge number of elephants, baobab trees and tree climbing African pythons. The park covers an area of approximately 2,850 square kilometers. You will enjoy a daylong of game viewing, with a picnic lunch looking out over the river to break up the time in the car. After a nice game drive before it gets dark you will drive to the lodge or campsite for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY: 2 Serengeti National park
Drive to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge takes about 3 to 4 hours. Olduvai George is an
archaeological site located in the eastern Serengeti plains, in which early human fossils were first
discovered. It has the amazing landscape that resulted from the tectonic forces which created the
Great Rift Valley million of years ago. Then in the late evening the game drives to Serengeti and
overnight at Serengeti Wild Camp full board.
DAY: 3 Serengeti/Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, morning game drives at Serengeti National Park, and then later afternoon drive to
Ngorongoro via Olduvai Gorge. Olduvai Gorge is an archaeological site located in the eastern
Serengeti plains, in which early human fossils were first discovered. It has the amazing landscape
that resulted from the tectonic forces which created the Great Rift Valley million of years ago. And
then drive to the Campsite or Hotel for overnight.
DAY 4 Ngorongoro/Arusha or Moshi
After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater, then half day game drives inside the crater.
This is undoubtedly the best place to see black rhino in Tanzania as well as the prides of lion
that includes the magnificent black mined males. There are lots of colourful flamingos and
the variety of water birds. Other game-leopard, cheetah, hyena and lots of other members
of the antelope family and small mammals of sorts can also be seen here. In the late
afternoon drive back to Moshi at the Hotel for bed and breakfast.
