5-Day National Park Safari in Tanzania

ITINERARY

Day 1: Arusha - Tarangire National Park

In the morning at 8am, you'll be picked up from your hotel in Arusha and drive on the tarmac road 120km to Tarangire National Park for your first game drive. Break around midday for a picnic lunch, with afternoon game viewing in the park to look for more of the numerous species of bird and animal. Late in the afternoon, the driver will take you for dinner and to your overnight accommodation at the tented camp or campsite in Tarangire.

Day 2: Tarangire - Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast at 6:30am, you'll drive 180km to Ngorongoro Crater with a packed lunch. Descend into the Crater floor for both morning and afternoon game drives. All of the Big Five (Rhino, Lion, Leopard, Buffalo and Elephant) live in this wonderful caldera, among many others such as zebra, hippos, wildebeest, hyena, etc. Your lunch will be served in the picnic site in the Crater at Ngoitoktok swamp, near a hippo pool. After lunch, you'll proceed with game viewing until ~4:45pm, when you'll ascend the Crater for dinner and overnight at your lodge/campsite in Ngorongoro

Day 3: Ngorongoro - Serengeti National Park

Breakfast in Ngorongoro, then launch into a journey with game drives and lunch enroute to the Great Serengeti National park. After a picnic lunch in the park, continue with afternoon game viewing in the park. Dinner and overnight accommodation at the tented camp or campsite in Serengeti National Park.

Day 4: Serengeti - Lake Manyara National Park

Early morning game drives in Serengeti, then back to your lodge or camp at 8:45am for breakfast. Then it's time for check-out and a drive 220 km to Manyara via Olduvai Gorge, where you will have your lunch on the way. In the evening, you'll have a multitude of options: you can walk around for about 3 km, relax by the pool of the lodge, around the campsite or go for some evening game drives in the Manyara Park. Dinner and overnight accommodation at the lodge or campsite in Lake Manyara National Park.

Day 5: Lake Manyara - Arusha

Breakfast followed by morning game drives in Lake Manyara National Park. At around 12:45pm, it'll be time to leave the park and back to your lodge or camp for a hot lunch. After lunch, it'll be time to check out and drive back to Arusha.
