About this activity
Day 1:Moshi – Tarangire National Park
Pick up from your hotel in Moshi and drive to Tarangire National Park, arriving late morning. With a lunchbox along the way you will enjoy a game drive with the opportunity to see large groups of elephants that make this national park famous. Tarangire is home to many of the iconic Baobab trees and has the Tarangire River flowing through the park, attracting wildlife year round. As the sun starts to set you will head to set up camp within the national park where you will find your chef preparing dinner.
Day 2:Tarangire – Serengeti National Park
Early rise with breakfast to explore Tarangire as many animals are waking. Depart the park mid-morning to head to the sweeping plains of Serengeti National Park for an afternoon game drive (lunchbox provided). The Serengeti (literal translation means ‘endless plains’) may provide you with the spectacle of the Great Migration- thousands of Zebra and Wildebeest moving in search of the best grasses. The best time to view the migration is between February-June. Following your game drive you will go to set up camp within the National Park. Your safari chef will cook you a scrumptious dinner before you turn yourselves in for a night amongst the wilderness.
Day 3:Full Day Serengeti National Park
Breakfast at the campsite before piling into the car for a full day game drive in Serengeti National Park- giving you the best chances of witnessing the Great Migration. You will have a picnic lunchbox provided and, following the day of wildlife watching, return to camp for a delicious meal cooked up by your chef.
Day 4:Serengeti – Ngorongoro
Rise early to catch the wildlife whilst they are still active before the day gets too hot and they return to rest. Explore the hippo pools and find crocodiles basking as the sun comes up. Return to camp for brunch, pack up and then drive to Ngorongoro whilst viewing more wildlife on the way. You will set up camp at Simba camp- on the edge of the crater rim. Be prepared to find zebra and possibly even elephant wandering through camp as your chef cooks up a storm for dinner. No doubt after a busy day you will turn yourselves in early!
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Moshi
Wake up to a delicious breakfast at the campsite and then descend into the infamous Ngorongoro crater to view some of Tanzania’s more rarely seen wildlife including the black rhino. You will have a morning game drive on the open grassy plains of the crater, stopping for a picnic lunch at Ngoitoktok hippo pools before returning to Moshi (arrive 5:30 - 6pm).
*Please note safaris can start/end in Arusha or Moshi.

They are also well trained in 4x4 driving so will be able to get you anywhere on the varying road qualities we have here! Please feel free to ask your guide any questions you may have about the wildlife, culture or trip along the way.
- 4x4 Safari Landcruiser with 7 seats. Our safari vehicles have been specifically modified for wildlife viewing, with a pop top roof which will be open during all game drives and sliding windows. Our cars are equipped with a radio system for guide communication with base and park rangers. We carry at least one pair of binoculars in each vehicle.
- A great area of confusion and unease for many tourists, tipping is a generally expected and highly appreciated (although not compulsory) part of your safari tour. It is a great way of saying ‘thank you’ to those that have helped you to have a wonderful experience here. Tips should be given at the end of your safari when saying your goodbyes. If you are part of a group safari it is best to try to discuss with everyone beforehand how you wish to do the tipping. To help you feel at ease we have provided a general guide below but please remember that tipping is a way of you showing your gratitude for your safari staff and is up to you! The guidelines given below are for a group amount, not individually.
