About this activity
Day 1: Drive to Kilimanjaro National Park Marangu Gate, Hike to Mandara Hut
After breakfast and briefing, drive to the Kilimanjaro National Park Gate (about 1 hour), register and commence the trek. Walk through the rainforest to the Mandara Huts.
Day 2: Hike Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut
You leave the glades of the rain-forest and follow an ascending path on the open moorlands to the Horombo Huts.
Day 3: Rest Day at Horombo Hut
Rest day at Horombo Hut with optional hike by Mawenzi Peak
Day 4: Hike Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut
Ascending, we now pass the last watering point, walking onto the saddle of Kilimanjaro between the peaks of Kibo and Mawenzi. Dinner, rest, and prepare for summit climb.
Day 5: Hike Kibo Hut to Summit, and down to Horombo Hut
Very early in the morning (midnight to 2am), commence the climb to the summit on steep and heavy scree or snow up to Gilman’s point located on the crater rim. Continuing, we now ascend to Uhuru Peak, which is the highest point in Africa.
Day 6: Hike Horombo Hut to trail head, drive to Moshi
After breakfast, a steady descent takes us down through moorland to the Mandara Hut. Continue descending through lush forest path to the National Park gate at Marangu. At lower elevations, it can be wet and muddy. Gaiters and trekking poles will help. Shorts and t-shirts will probably be plenty to wear (keep rain gear and warmer clothing handy).
vehicle will meet you at Marangu gate to drive you back to your hotel in Moshi (about 1 hour).
Day 7:SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK SERENGETI CENTRAL
another early start but trust us its worth it the serengeti is the home to staggering 1.6 million animals have been recorded moving through the park.we will drive until 1 pm when we break for lunch . then the venture back to the lodge.
Day 8 SERENGETI -NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA
After breakfast we head back to Ngorongoro conservation area a vast UNESCO,world heritage site situated in 260 km wide volcano crater. Archaeology buffs and anyone interested in history have the opinion to stop at Olduvai Gorge ,where some of the earliest known human remain have found.After lunch we keep exploring the Ngorongoro crater ,venturing right up to the rim for dinner and overnigh
Day 9 :NGORONGORO TO TARANGIRE
After breakfast we take a packed lunch and head back to the crater .
Day 10: TARANGIRE TO ZANZIBAR
we save best for last .After breakfast we embark on our final game drive through the Tarangire national park.African elephant-the world biggest mammals -re very common in this area .
ZANZIBAR -(THE SPICE ISLAND)
Day 11-14:
Free leisure days at the beach and you walk around you own at slow pace ,you will really enjoy the walk (at Nungwi area and Kendwa rocks area) its worth it
Day 15: DEPARTURE
You will be picked up from your hotel and you head to the Airport to catch the flight back home.
