We were visiting Asheville and wanted to get a taste of the outdoors while there. By the description, I thought this would be a short trip but it pleasantly filled the afternoon! We walked to two different swimming spots and while they may not have been a secret, we didn't enounter too many people. The drive there and back in the mountainous area was very nice. We ended at a brewery which was a nice end to the day. I would recommend sneakers or very secure walking sandals, even better if they are waterproof. I think a better description of what the trip entails would attract more people too. Our guide was very personable and I would highly recommend the trip.
