Gastronomy and Walkabout in Mesogeia
Meet your guide at 2pm at the Koropi Metro Station, 30 minutes outside of Athens, for your 6-hour gastronomy tour. With a small group, explore the quaint area of Mesogeia and Porto Rafti in a private vehicle. Spend time learning about the local history, culture, and people from your guide. Sample local cuisine at a traditional fish tavern and collect fresh thyme, which is grown in the area.
Visit a local winery in Greece's oldest wine-producing area. Enjoy a wine-tasting, learn about agricultural production and meet with a wine-producer. Relax as you eat a buffet lunch.
Explore one or two Byzantine monasteries or chapels in the area, depending on available time. Walk around an area with photo-ready views of the sea and take the time to collect seashells. Conclude your day by trying your hand at painting on porcelain.
Return to the metro station at the end of the tour.
