Coast to Coast Auckland Wine Tasting Day Tour

We collect you from your city accommodation at around 9.30am and head off on a 40-45 minute drive to the West Coast and Kumeu wine region.

You’ll spend the morning wine tasting at a selection of two of the family owned and operated wineries in the Kumeu / Huapai / Waimauku district, the three small rural villages that make up this area.

We prefer not to always visit the same wineries on our tours, after all we don't all like the same wine! So we do our best to use our nearly 20 years of experience to select the wineries on the day to best suit your tastes and interests.

During the morning you'll experience some spectacular sightseeing at Muriwai Beach (black sand) on the Tasman Sea and get up close to the birds at ‘Takapu’ gannet-colony.

You then get to relax and enjoy the cross-country drive, approx' 1 hour, to the Pacific East Coast through a variety of scenery including forests, farms & small rural communities. We travel a little further North through some seaside settlements with views of small bays, beaches and the Pacific Ocean.
By now it's time to stop for a delicious open menu, main course, vineyard restaurant lunch (included) along with wine tastings at one of the small, family owned & operated, boutique wineries in the beautiful Matakana region.
In the afternoon, after lunch, you’ll visit another of Matakana’s unique ‘boutique’ estate wineries, selected based on your interests, to sample their exclusive, locally 
produced wines before we return you to your city accommodation at around 5.00pm.
