Matt our tour guide was amazing. He is so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Pick up and drop off is the only way to go when it is available makes the day so much more enjoyable. All three highlight stops we made on the tour were so rich in history and beauty. I recommend anyone who is going to Barcelona do not miss making these memories with a wonderful guide like Matt.
We had an awesome tour guide Daniel who is very knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. Enjoyed walking through Girona and Pals.
If you are not a Game of Thrones fan, there's no point to go to Girona. The main attraction is the Cathedral steps. Otherthan that, Girona is like other cities with shops and restaurants. It does have a canal with several walking bridges to build it's character. Costa Brava beach was beautiful. We wish we had more time there. It has a cozy covelike beach with calm waters. The atmosphere is very calm and peaceful. Afterwards, we went to Pals, a city with medieval like setting with stone architecture. We took this tour from Barcelona and had a party of 13 so this is was private tour for us since we filled up the bus. We asked for more time in Costa Brava for the beach. We spent about just under 2 hours. It would have been nice to have another one or two hours at the beach. So, in conclusion if taking this tour. Speed up your visit in Girona by just taking the pictures with the steps of the Cathedral filmed in Game of Thrones. Walk through the city for another 15 minutes. Head over to Costa Brava and spend more time at the beach to fully appreciate the beautiful beach. Bring your own snorkel mask or goggles because there are fish right on the beach. Then spend a few minutes in Pals to see the medieval like structure.
One of the best trips we took on our European vacation. The coastal town of Costa Brava was beautiful, the swimming was great, the Historic town of Pals we awesome, great history of a small quaint town in Spain. Girona was my favorite the small nooks and passages and historic buildings dating back over 1,000 years was just unbelieveable. Our guide Curt was excellent. I would do this trip again.
This tour was really interesting. The old towns had heaps of character and so many stories to tell. The meal at the seaside restaurant was very good. Our guide was very knowledgeable and this made the day very interesting.
We loved our tour with our fun and knowledgeable guide Matt! The city of Girona was absolutely beautiful, especially if you are a GOT fan. Be prepared for a lot of walking! The good thing is that with a small group Matt was able to patiently wait for us to all be at the same pace and catch our breath - LoL! Pals was even more breathtaking with so much beauty and history. My 14 year old son said it was one of his favorite tours and especially loved the beach time. The only thing that would have made this better would have been more time at the beach. By the time lunch came we had less than an hour. It was still an amazing day but would love to extend the beach time even if it was slightly higher priced. Matt was a great guide - funny, patient, and you could tell he loved what he was doing. We highly recommend this tour!
Gaspar our guide took us Girona, Costa Brava, and wonderful midiveal towns. Best part was Gaspar. Did an awesome job!
Our guide Arnau was fabulous, he was knowledgeable and gave us the best scenic and panoramic views our entire trip. He was very attentive and made sure the entire group was included and made sure couples like my husband and I had memories to share together. He had true knowledge of medieval times and we felt as though he had taken us back in time. Great tour. Thank you Viator for picking this company.
We had such a great time, Danny was very knowledgeable and passionate about history and Catalonia The cities were amazing, the food delicious. The fact that it was a small group made it so much better Definitely would do again
There is nothing but beauty on this tour. The fact that we had free time and choice of lunch was great. Since the locations are quite a distance away I would have liked skipping one of them (later ones like the beach) and spend more time per location. The tour guide was great and knowledgeable.
Our guide, Oriol promptly picked us up at our apartment and hosted us on a private tour of Girona, Pals, and the Costa Brava region. Throughout the day Oriol shared the rich history of the region and took the time to answer our many questions. He allowed us to go out our pace and showed us key points of interest. Game of Thrones had filmed parts of season 6 in Girona. He brought his iPad with him to show us some scenes. Pals was a brief stop with stunning views. Well worth the time to stop and climb the castle tower. We ended our tour in a beautiful coastal town along the wild coast where we had an amazing lunch, toured the shops, and spent some time on one of the most beautiful beaches in the Mediterranean. Oriol made the trip memorable for all of us. His knowledge of the region is unparalleled. We highly recommend this tour.
This was a great trip to see Girona, Pals and the coast. Our guide Matt had great energy, good sense of humor and was knowledgeable about the history of the area as well as fun facts. Really enjoyed the pace of the trip and being in a small guided group. Highly recommend!
This was a great tour! Our tour guide Paul was very knowledgeable, funny and inviting he made this tour so enjoyable!! I hope to book more tours with this company because of this experience. The sites were amazing, the ride was smooth and the people were great, what more can you ask for!
I was with 6 of my friends and we all agreed this was the highlight of our Barcelona trip. Our guide Nicholaus was wonderful. Girona and Pals magical and the stop at the coast was gorgeous.
Took this day tour and had Miguel as our tour guide and driver. He was excellent and made the day long tour even better. The tour stops at some very nice ancient cities and you can tell that Miguel is very passionate about his job. The sites were wonderful. Lunch was at very nice seaside resort where we had some very yummy fish. Highly recommend this tour and ask for Miguel if you can. Perfect day away from busy Barcelona
Had a great time! Paul our guide did great in keeping everything informative and entertaining. The views from the town of Pals and the coastal town of Calella de palafrugell were amazing. When in Barcelona DO THIS TRIP!
Matt, our guide, is very friendly and accommodating. He picks you up and drops you off at your hotel so it's very convenient. One of the things we noticed right away is that he always looks around first to make sure that it's safe for you to board and get off the van. He is very knowledgeable about the history and even the current political situation in Catalunya. Since there were only 8 of us, it felt like a private tour.
Visited Girona and Costa Brava with a great guide Mateus. Loved the tour because of the small and personalized service. Never felt lost in the crowd.
Miguel, our friendly and most capable guide, made our day trip experience very memorable. From the minute he picked us, he gave us information and made us feel like friends visiting his country. Thank you.
My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our small group tour to Girona and Costa Brava. It started with a pick up from our hotel and a greeting from our amazing guide Vincent. Nothing was too much trouble!! The driver and Vincent could not do more, to accommodate the requests of our group. It felt very personal being a small group of 8. Vincent really knows his stuff. I could not recommend this tour highly enough. It is a full day and well worth it.
Mateus was an excellent guide and despite the cold weather we enjoyed the impressive sights and ambience. The souvenir shopping in Pals was one of the fun highlights.
Our guide, Mariano, was wonderful. So knowledgeable about the history of this area. And Girona was a wonderful town in a castle full of history and shops and residences and restaurants. Just a wonderful day for sure. Would highly recommend this excursion.
Our tour guide Vicente and driver Joaquin were very good, we were a group of seven and had a wonderful day. We walked Girona and Vicente was very good with all the explanations and then we went to a small medieval townof Pals and then Calella de Palafurgell a fishermans town very pretty for lunch. We loved our tour..
This was a very fun tour. The tour guide did a great job explaining everything. If you're a Game of Thrones fan, you'll love seeing where they filmed multiple episodes. Also, the beach was beautiful, lunch was good, and the amount of time we spent in each place was perfect. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get out of Barcelona for a day.
our tour was very small group of 6. Miguel our tour guide was amazing, we were the only english speakingcouple and he made sure to explain everything to us about the sites. make sure and bring plenty water and comfy walking shoes as you will be walking alot for this tour. i would def. do this tour again my husband and i had a great time. much love from New York - Sarah and Steven
Beautiful scenery on this tour. Paul was our guide and took us to some of the most beautiful villages on the Costa Brava. We especially loved learning about the history of the region. Highly recommend this tour!
