Head first to Montserrat’s centuries-old monastery for a visit and a peek at the incredible Black Madonna, the Virgin of Montserrat. Then chose from a variety of options to explore on your own, including listening to the local Children's Choir or taking a funicular up the hill for incredible views of the mountain. There is also the opportunity to visit the Museum of Montserrat, home to interesting audiovisual displays on the history of the town’s monks and choir.

We were disappointed by this experience. We expected to be given a well-rounded, informative, and entertaining tour of Montserrat. Instead we were walked to the door of the church and led through the souvenir shop and food stands. Our tour guide did not speak except to answer our questions. Our guide was also our driver, and while he was a good driver as well as a pleasant person, he did not provide a private tour experience worthy of the price that we paid.
