About this activity
Visit: Fundacio Joan Miro, Parc de Montjuic, s/n, 08038 Barcelona Spain
The Fundació Joan Miró is a living center, open to the world, where you can discover and explore the work of Joan Miró and other artists. With your skip-the-line admission, you can avoid the ticket queue to get inside the building, a cultural icon of Barcelona, located in the green zone of Parc de Montjuïc.
Described by Miró as “an open, radiant architecture focused on the vision of art and the contemplation of nature: a garden for everybody,” the museum is a space where the boundaries between art, architecture, and landscape blur. The collection on display offers an overview of the different stages of Miró’s oeuvre and the different media that he worked with in the course of his career. It is one of the most comprehensive collections of his work anywhere in the world.
“What counts is not the work itself, but the course of one's spirit throughout one's entire life.” –Joan Miró
Miró's contact with avant-garde movements, his links to surrealism, and the influence of poetry led him to develop a unique, intensely personal language through which he expressed his vision of the world. With his tireless spirit of inquiry, he transcended conventional painting and became one of the most influential artists of the 20th century.
In addition to the collection, the Fundació Joan Miró organizes temporary shows, exhibitions of the work of emerging artists at Espai 13, and activities for audiences of all ages.

If you love Joan Miro and his art, you will love visiting this museum. The audio guide is a great way to tour museum at your own pace. We used taxis to provide us with transportation to and from the museum.
Great place for art if your into this artist. I found it strange. But I did enjoy the wonderful lunch in the cafe! This was one of the better meals we had during our 10 days in Spain! And the views from here are pretty cool!
Very convenient. No waiting whatsoever.
Not for me. Seems like a poor attempt to copy modern artists. Don't worry about skip the line as there isn't many people ever queuing or wanting to get in. The view of the city from the outside of the building was the best bit and the Olympic pool down the road was more interesting
What a fabulous collection of MIro art. We had so much fun wandering this gallery. Lunch in the museum shop was a nice break. Plan to spend about one hour here plus lunch. Easy to reach on the hop on hop off bus
Very nice and organized ride.
This tour was amazing!
Quite Wonderful! We enjoyed watching an amazing teacher introduce Joan Miro to her 5 year old students.
