St Kitts Volcano Hiking and Sightseeing Excursion

This volcano hiking and sightseeing tour are for guests looking for an adventurous and physical tour. Our tour starts at Belmont Estate to the parking area which is about 1200 feet above sea level. A thorough overview of the flora and fauna would be shared with the guests. The rainforest provides a canopy against the rain. It is fairly easy to start with no more than your average trek but the last quarter takes half time as you go up and over and hopscotch over roots and rocks. Guests need to be reasonably fit as the last quarter requires moderate effort as you can go out on a ledge or two to captivate the best picturesque views.The volcano stands at 3792 feet and is the highest point on the island. On the top of central forest reserve the Volcano rim is 2800 feet above sea. At the high mountain which takes about 2 to 2 and a half hours hiking upwards, lies cloaked in a dwarfed cloud forest and overlooks what is often referred to as Giants Salad Bowl. Sugar City, St Kitts volcano crater is 1,000 feet deep and almost one mile wide. On top the volcano crater rim you will enjoy a delicious picnic lunch while rejuvenating amidst the dwarfed cloud forest from where there are spectacular views over our quilted coastline below, with nearby offshore islands on one side and the other is the giant volcano crater 1000 feet to its floor.
