A chance to see the NZ iconic bird that few have experienced as they are flightless, shy, endangered and nocturnal. Kiwi North is part of the national Kiwi recovery program and has a nocturnal enclosure that mimic the kiwis natural environment as closely as possible where they raise young kiwi to breeding age. By attending the 11am Kiwi feeding you maximise the chances of spotting this rare and endearing bird.

Stop At: AH Reed Kauri Park, Whareora Road, Whangarei New Zealand
Walk between the ancient and protected kauri trees that used to cover Northland NZ before farming and forestry reduced the forests to less than 2% of their original size

View the falls as the water plunges over an old basalt lava flow.
