Our tour guide ARNOLD was excellent. Very knowledgeable, new history, personable and courteous. Went at our pace...answered all of our questions......HIGHLY RECCOMMEND this man and tour ! TOM. W. California
Alex was our most welcoming and knowledgeable tour guide and brought us everywhere in Normandy it seemed. Walking the hallowed Omaha beach during low tide with Alex sharing historic information of DDay and gazing at all the expanse of water and gave us pause to reflect. My cousin and I were taken to ALL the historic areas I had only read about. Alex was so informative about the German build up to DDay and walking those hollowed grounds and viewing the cliffs and bunkers and most especially the white cross cemetery brought the sacrifice all our US soldiers made more realistic during WW11 Thank you. which my father and uncle proudly served. I would highly recommend this tour -and Alex- to all visitors.
We met our guide, Sofie, at the Place de Québec in Bayeux. The tour was small (8 people max) and we were driven around to the different sites in a comfortable van. Sofie did a great job and was very knowledgeable. Additional information (facts, guides, maps) were available to look at in in the van as well. The tour is well worth taking as half day introduction to the D-Day beaches. Plan on the full time (5 hours) for this tour. Would like to reiterate that Sofie did an excellent job; we wanted to tip her but she wouldn't/couldn't accept, even though she did deserve it.
