Beijing Muslim Quarter Walking Tour

Meet at your hotel in the morning and then take public transportation (subway/taxi, fees on your own) to Niujie Mosque. This mosque reflects a mixture of Islamic and Han Chinese cultural and architectural influences. From the outside, its architecture shows traditional Chinese influence and the inside has blend of Islamic calligraphy and Chinese design. Niujie area is the spiritual center for the 10,000 Muslims living in the vicinity and it is the biggest and oldest one in Beijing.

Visit the ancient mosque and learn Chinese Muslims (Hui people)'s life and related China's policy will be narrated. We will meet local Muslim elders and chat with them about their daily services and visiting pilgrims. Then we will take a walk in the Muslim inhabited hutongs (alleys). After the tour, you can take a look at a Muslim market or try some Muslim food and snack.

Take public transportation (subway/taxi, feed on your own) back to hotel. Service completes.
