Your guide will meet you at your Beijing downtown hotel lobby at around 8:30 am. You will then get on a comfortable vehicle to start the 8 hours day tour.

The first site will be the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. Tiananmen Square lies at the center of Beijing. Imposing and magnificent, it stands out among ancient city gates in China. Tiananmen was the place for important ceremonies during the Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty and it has witnessed many important events in China's modern history, too. It was formerly a courtyard in front of the main gate to the Forbidden City. Since the fall of the feudal system, and especially since the foundation of the People's Republic, it has been renovated and expanded many times. Now the square, at 880 meters long and 500 meters wide, measures 440,000 square meters.

Walking pass the Tiananmen Square, you get to the Forbidden City, which is the former Chinese imperial palace from the Ming dynasty to the end of the Qing dynasty-the years 1420 to 1912, and it now houses the Palace Museum. The Forbidden City served as the home of emperors and their households as well as the ceremonial and political center of Chinese government for almost 500 years. Get close to the glorious history of China and the country’s enigmatic folklore as you enter the Forbidden City. It is not only one of the well-preserved imperial palaces in the world but also a precious testimony to the Chinese culture and civilization during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Later you will enjoy a typical Chinese lunch and have a short break. The afternoon tour is open for you to decide. You may choose
