Stop At: Bianyifang Roast Duck Shop, 36 Xingfu St, Dongcheng Qu, Beijing Shi, China, 100061
The Beijing roast duck is a traditional Chinese dish originally prepared for the Imperial Family from the Qing imperial kitchens. Several restaurants serve this traditional dish in Beijing, but Bianyifang restaurant is well-known for its remarkable oven-braised Peking duck.
This delicacy is marinated first in sugary syrup and various spices, left to dry overnight, and then roasted in a closed oven. Its tender meat is usually served with the crispy skin to be dipped in a special sauce made by soya bean and wheat sauce, thinly sliced spring onions, cucumbers, and sometimes Hami melon. Then, you wrap all up in small crêpe and enjoy it like a soft taco.
When arriving at the restaurant, simply show your passport and voucher to the restaurant reception and the waiter will show you your table. You can enjoy half a roasted duck, one vegetable dish, and one soft drink per person.
Just 20 minutes walking from the restaurant you can find the Temple of Heaven, and less than 5 minutes walking is the Red Theatre for the famous Kungfu Show.

This Dinner was good. I was hoping the restaurant was going to be a bit more traditional decor but the food was nice.
