About this activity

Meet your private guide at 6:00pm at your hotel, and take your private vehicle to the famous Mr. Shi's Dumplings restaurant where you will enjoy both water boiled dumplings and the pan-fried ones. Other than dumplings, your will try some local dishes and fresh juicy.

After tasty dinner, have a short walk to Nanluoguxiang Hutong to see many interesting shops, restaurant, bars along the road. Then, have a glass of fine local beer at popular Great Leap Brewing. Your guide will share with you some interesting stories about the people, the culture of this old Beijing neighborhood.

Then, continue to your tour to beautiful Houhai lake, and you will enjoy the romantic atmosphere as well as the illuminated night view there.

After your tour is finished, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

This private tour was nothing short of AMAZING. Our tour guide was so sweet and incredibly knowledgeable. After spending a few hours with her she felt like family! We were able to see parts of Beijing we never would have found. Highly HIGHLY recommend scheduling this tour, you won’t be disappointed!

This tour was my first ever experience using Viator, the site was recommended by a friend that had heard good things about how it worked for someone else they knew. BEST decision of our trip! Ching, our guide, was prompt, cheerful, knowledgeable, and arrived with private van and driver in tow. Our party of five would never have been able to find the locations we were able to visit or gain the knowledge Ching was able to provide in the span of time afforded to us. This is the ONLY way to go, its far more superior than getting absorbed in a group of strangers on a large tour in a new city. We were able comment and share freely as we had the full attention of our guide while in our private coach. We all had plenty of food and drink and there is something to be said about being escorted though the tourist areas like a VIP. We were able to move with purpose at our own pace, there was never a rush, and received tips about everything in sight. We spent a week in Beijing and a week in Shanghai as we scheduled several tours and ground transportation for 5-6 individuals, and I wouldnt change a thing with regard to using Viator to plan our tours. This is a great tour for fun-loving folks that enjoy walking, eating, and a having a cold beer to wrap it all up. Ching, thanks for a great experience!
