About this activity

Our guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel (within 3 rings of beijing hotel ) in the early morning (between 6:30am to 8am), and hop-on coach bus for this fun day trip. About 10:30am you will arrival Simatai Great Wall , and your tour guide will assist you to purchase entrance ticket and accompany you to the Great Wall . Visit the Great Wall for 3 hours ,about 13:30 the guide led the team to lunch ,lunch is a chinese meal a table 10 people .Your tour is end between 2:30pm to 3:30pm, and you will get on the coach bus again to return back to your hotel in Beijing.

Due to bad communications, I missed the pickup for the tour on the first day. However, the company called me to assure me that I could take the tour the following day. Pickup was on time and we departed for the 2 hour drive to the Great wall. Entry to the site was smooth and I elected to take the cable car up to the wall, instead of the 1 hour walk up the path! A wise move, because I was completely tuckered out at the end of the day!! Cheng was our guide and he was a funny, knowledgeable and friendly man, along with Panda our driver. It was a really sunny day and there were very few people on the wall. The views were stunning and the walk was strenuous. However, with plenty of stops for water and picture taking, we all managed to complete the trek. There was even someone with a broken leg who completed the walk! We then descended to catch our coach. We then visited a water village before taking lunch at a local restaurant. The food was good and the beer was cold. I highly recommend this tour to anyone and thank Cheng and Panda for a wonderful day
