One of the most beautiful buildings in the old city, this semi-open vaulted-roofed khan was formerly a Crusader hospital and is today a beautifully restored 14th-century tailors’ souq lined with small workshops

By entering this one-time Khan, one may see how the soap is made and the bars are shaped and cut. One may also see old photographs showing the man who laid the foundations of this skill and hear explanations about the different techniques of the craft

Used from the 13th-century right up until 1975, this historic hammam is an extensive complex that is undergoing an elegant restoration. There's a typically indirect entrance to the mashlah (main cold room set around a fountain) and good information and intriguing plasterwork through the whole building. Note the relief of the Lamb of God on the entrance door

The prayer hall is a marvellous space with an ornate inlaid pulpit, elegant lamps and stone vaulting
