Black Taxi Murals Tour
The tour focuses on ‘both sides’ of our community. You will visit the mainly Catholic (or Nationalist) Falls Road and the mainly Protestant (or Unionist) Shankill Road. You will cross the ‘peace line’ or ‘peace wall’ that continues to separate both communities. Both sides have used murals to tell their story, celebrate their past and raise awareness about how political decisions affected their communities.
Titanic Belfast
Titanic Belfast extends over nine interactive galleries, with multiple dimensions to the exhibition, drawing together special effects, dark rides, full-scale reconstructions and innovative interactive features. SS Nomadic
Originally built alongside the mighty RMS Titanic in Belfast in 1911, the SS Nomadic is much more than just “Titanic’s little sister”. Designed by Thomas Andrews and built using the same design and similar luxurious finishes the similarities to the Titanic are plain to see. Being exactly one quarter of the size of her famous friend, the Nomadic is often referred to as “a mini Titanic” Over 100 years of history and adventures are evident the minute you step on board.
Crumlin Road Gaol
The Crumlin Road Gaol dates back to 1845, and closed its doors as a working prison after 150 years in service in 1996. The Gaol has re-opened as a visitor attraction after extensive renovations and today you can take a guided tour of the prison.
The Tour will cover all aspects of the Gaol from the Tunnel linking the courthouse on the other side of the Crumlin Road, to the Hanging Cell, the Historic Holding Cells, Governors Office, Centre Circle, C-Wing and Graveyard.
