This was a great tour our guide Danny was very good made history sound exciting. Would like to have heard more about some of the more prominent prisoners. But overall it was an excellent tour that I would recommend to anyone and would not hesitate to return.
We were looking forward to this visit and it didn't disappoint! We arrived and the next tour was in an hour.The girl on reception was very helpful and told us where the tour started, location of cafe.The weather was gorgeous and we sat outside.There was a museum with lots of the gaol's history and interesting artefacts and exhibits.The time passed quickly.Our guide Trisha welcomed us.She was friendly and very informative.She gave us lots of time to look around.The gaol was as it was when it was a working one and it really made you think about what and who had walked there and been in those cells! A very worthwhile visit.
We had the last tour of the day and there were only six of us so it was intimate and nice. Our tour guide Terry was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He takes you through and around the prison though there is time to explore a bit on your own. There is also a restarant there with very good food!
A great tour, very interesting. A must do place to see on your visit to Belfast. We did the Black Cab political tour in the morning and was dropped off at the Goal. Easy booking with Viator.
