Really fun, informative, a great way to learn a bit about a fun topic
This experience was ok but not quite what it was hyped up to be in the advertisement. Meeting the guide was easy enough and he was friendly but the overall experience was kind of meh. To be sure, this is just a tasting as the advertisement says so if you are expecting a full beer at each stop that isn't happening. One of the stops is a small convenience store where if you want a beer you have to purchase it - ok, 2 Euro isn't that much but you might want to put in the advertisement that the stop will include a convenience store with the option to purchase beer. The guide is at that stage of life where he thinks it is cool to work profanity into his descriptions - not over the top but slightly annoying. He also liked to bash American beer every chance he got - hey dude, a Pilsner is a pilsner so get over yourself. The worst part of the tour was standing outside for several minutes prior and after each visit to get a Wikipedia type description of what we were going to be doing which could have easily been done inside. I realize 28 degrees F isn't that cold for a Berliner but it is cold for some of us.
absolutely brilliant tour, excellent value for money! places we visited were lovely and our guide Marck was extremely knowledgable about the beers, would absolutely recommend this to anyone when visiting Berlin.
The tour guide was a half hour late. I didn't feel like I learned much about beer on this tour but did get to try some good German beers. One of the bars we went to for a tasting didn't even know we were coming. The best part was the people we met on the tour. Once the tour guide cut out as soon as his three hours were up, everyone else stayed and kept drinking. Great people.
This tour was amazing!
