About this activity
This combined tour lets you experience the dramatic changes the city has undergone in the past 25 years. It is the perfect way to enjoy Berlin’s unique flair in just 3 days. See sights like Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie or Kurfürstendamm (Yellow Tour) and also don't miss out on the upcoming neighborhoods and the Berlin Wall (Purple Tour). Your ticket can be used within 3 consecutive days.
On the "classical" Yellow tour you will have the opportunity to discover Berlin’s most famous landmarks and monuments, such as Kurfürstendamm, Potsdamer Platz, Checkpoint Charlie, TV Tower, Brandenburg Gate, Victory Column and many more. Let one of the yellow double-decker buses take you on an exciting tour through the German capital.
The Purple tour is a great way to get to know Berlin’s trendy districts Mitte, Kreuzberg, Friedrichshain and Prenzlauer Berg. Whether you want to see the fashionable boutiques around Hackescher Markt, enjoy a drink at one of the bars on the bustling Simon-Dach-Strasse, or hunt for one-of-a-kind bargains at the Mauerpark flea market – you will experience the pulse of Berlin.
The tour also travels along the path of the former Berlin Wall, giving you a sense of how the city, up until 1989, was divided into East and West Berlin. A stop at the Jewish Museum, designed by star architect Daniel Libeskind and whose exhibitions cover two thousands years of German-Jewish history, is also included on this tour.

The two circles Yellow and Purple were an excellent way to see Berlin. Although it could be done in one day, that would be almost too much. So a two or three day pass would be better in my opinion. However, I have one significant complaint that was very frustrating. If we got off the bus at a certain stop, obviously we knew where to re-board. However, except for a very few numbered stops, there was no way to tell exactly where to wait for the bus if we walked around the city and tried to find the nearest stop. The map is essentially worthless. We wasted a good part of the second day trying to find a stop after we toured the Pergamon Museum and eventually took a taxi back to the hotel.
Difficult to find where to change your voucher for a real ticket if you're not trying to start the tour at either end, which are way out from the centre. The purple tour wasn't an open air bus so the upstairs was too hot to sit in in June. Apparently the roof isn't opened because of the overhead tram lines. We've done these tours elsewhere - New York for example where the stops are more easily identifiable so you know where to get on and there is a definite venue for swopping your voucher for an actual ticket. We finally found an agent at Potsdamer Platz but it wasn't easy
If you want to see the city this is a superb way to do it. Awesome. Efficient. No worries tour! I will alwaya do a bus tour through viator.
