About this activity
Start the journey by visiting the Karst Postojna Cave, a series of caverns, halls and passages some 24 km long and two million years old, was hollowed out by the Pivka River. You drive into the cave by a little train and then proceed on foot with a guide, where you discover the underground beauties: spectacular stalactites, stalagmites, limestone curtains.
Finish the journey by visiting the village Predjama and entering majestic Predjama Castle carved into a 123-metre high stone wall. Castle has drawbridge over raging waters, holes in ceiling of entrance served to pour boiling water on invaders and an eerie dungeon. The castle was used in Jackie Chan movie Armor of God and Sci-fi TV show Ghost hunters.
