We will stop at Boyaca Bridge, a National Monument that commemorates the Independence of Colombia from the Spanish Kingdom in the 19th century.

In the Plaza Mayor of Villa de Leyva stands out its cobbled space, a water fountain and the church of Nuestra Señora del Rosario. Visitors find restaurants, hotels, museums and craft shops that respect the colonial architecture characteristic of the town.

Our Lady of the Rosary Church is located on the eastern side of the Plaza Mayor. Its construction began on 1604 and preserves Baroque characteristics of the Colonial period in its altars, paintings and images.

While touring this XVII Century house, you have the opportunity to explore the different facets of Antonio Narño's life, the spirit of his time and appreciate the colonial architecture.

Day 2: Villa de Leyva - Bogota

Stop At: Centro de Investigaciones Paleontologicas - CIP, Via a Santa Sofia km 4, Villa de Leyva Colombia
The Paleontology Research Center preserves fossils of Ichthyosaurs, Plesiosaurs and Sea Turtles, among other species, that inhabited the current area of Colombia more that 100 millions years ago.

Stop At: Monasterio Del Santo Eccehomo, 8 km From Villa de Leyva, Villa de Leyva Colombia
The Monastery of Saint Ecce Homo, finished in 1620, belonged to the Dominican Order. The building witnessed the events of our liberating campaign and also registers the different connections of Colombia with Europe.

Stop At: Vinedo Umana Dajud, Sachica, Km 2 Via Villa de Leyva, Villa de Leyva Colombia
This is the opportunity of visiting a vineyard located 2.000 m (6.500 ft) above sea level. Besides visiting the factory, you will taste excellent-quality Colombian Wine.
