About this activity

Take your buggy convertible and start your drive through the villages of the Médoc. Travel along the banks of the Gironde Estuary, lined with beautiful “chartreuses”, former holiday estates. Then follow the legendary Médoc Châteaux route to Margaux and its many Grands Crus Classés. You will go at your own pace as you explore the heart of this unique territory, dotted with small family estates and many prestigious châteaux.

In the heart of the Médoc, you will visit an authentic Classified Great Growth Château. The local producers will gladly take you for a tour of the property, wine storehouses and the fermenting room and tell you how Bordeaux’s finest wines are made. Naturally, at the end of the tour, you will experience a tasting of wines made at the Château.

During your tour, you will have the opportunity to stop at an open-air café along the river or to stop to various spots to make unforgettable pictures. Just follow your GPS media-guide and explore some great local places. You are guided, but free to make stops or detours as and when you please, according to suggestions offered by your audio or multimedia commentary.

Example of an itinerary :

2.00 pm: Departure from Memosine agency in Bordeaux

2.30 pm: Admire your first vines and follow the banks of the Gironde Estuary

4.00 pm: Wine-tasting visit in a 1855 "Grand Cru Classé" Château*

5:00 pm: Legendary Castle Road through Margaux appellations

6.30 pm: Arrival in Bordeaux.
*The Classified Great Growth Châteaux may be: Desmirail, Dauzac, Lascombes, Prieuré-Lichine....This may change according to availability

I recommend it 100%. It's an experience to try because you see the vineyards from another perspective. The company was very friendly and explained everything very well. They are pending to choose the route that you can like the most. It is easy to drive the buggy and in the wine tasting were very attentive too. It was a lot of fun. It is very important to be very punctual to make the route quietly. Thank you!
