Half-day guided Boston bus tour
For the first part of this guided bus tour, you'll head north and cross the Charles River to nearby Cambridge. Cambridge is home to two of the world’s most prestigious universities--Harvard and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Afterwards, drive by historic Harvard Yard before passing Cambridge Common, a public park near Harvard Square where George Washington gathered his troops during the American Revolutionary War.
Then, you'll be off to Lexington to visit Lexington Battle Green, the town where the American Revolutionary War began. The tour continues along Battle Road Trail between Lexington and Concord, marking the path traveled by British soldiers during the war. It is also the road Paul Revere used to warn Samuel Adams and John Hancock that “the British are coming”!
While in Concord, spot the homes of author Louisa May Alcott and poet Ralph Waldo Emerson. As a bonus, you'll stop by the Old North Bridge, a historic site in the Battle of Concord on the first day of battle in the Revolutionary War. The tour concludes with a return to the original departure point.
