It was good for understanding American history and culture. The Indian village and English village was remodeled in a nearby place and the trip took us to the original place of Pilgrim landing. We could also see the Plymouth Rock. During the trip we could also see the monument symbolizing the American spirit: liberty, education, law, morality, and justice. It was wonderful!
Overall, our visit to Plimoth was quite nice. Our driver, Brian, was very knowledgeable, and did a great job. The plantation was pretty much what we expected and we enjoyed it. It would have been nice to have had a little more time there in order to interact with the interpreters more. The disappointing part of the trip was that they Mayflower II was still not back although it was supposed to be back in May. The visit to the the grist mill was not a comparable experience at all. In fact, I wish we had skipped that entirely in order to spend more time at the plantation.
If you take this tour you will really appreciate history well I hope you do. The ship was sadly in CT getting pampered but otherwise you can still see the Rock. Great city to stroll around. Many museums to visit. Out driver was great. Nice and knew her stuff.
The tour was an informative and entertaining way to visit America's Hometown. Ask for Sam he's great!
Great day in spite of it being very rainy. Our driver Sam was fantastic and kept us entertained and educated along the way. Worth doing if you are a history enthusiast !
Sam-I-Am was a great tour guide..... very funny, very informative. Plymouth Plantation was great. The other stops were wonderful. Well Done!
Excellent day even without the 'Mayflower'.
