The first glimpse of the castle will bring back powerful narrative moments. The grandiose silhouette surrounded by imposing mountains creates a memorable landscape. The Castle is actually a medial fortress build in the 14th century by the peasants of Brasov to protect their commercial interest in the region against Ottomans or Tartars invasions. The fortress was reinforced, changed and repaired during time. In 1920, the castle become a residence of Queen Maria of Romania. Every corner, room or defense wall has its own history and role during time and of course, real documented facts are mixed with legends and stories. Bran Castle, the real name of Dracula’s Castle is impressive both outside and inside. Even this is the main attraction of our tour, the day is far from ending here.

Râșnov Fortress is located on the site of an ancient wooden fortification built in the beginning of the 13th century by Teutonic Knights on the site of a former Dacian fortress. One of the most well-known, most visited and well-preserved fortified ensembles in the area, the fortress use to control through its strategic position the access to Transylvania from Râşnoavei Valley, serving as a military surveillance point on Bran road.
