Day 1: After pickup from your Bucharest hotel or the airport, you'll be taken to see Parliament Palace, the second largest administrative building in the world after the Pentagon. Next, you'll explore Village Museum (Muzeul Satului), a fascinating outdoor museum and the largest in Europe, featuring a collection of 50 buildings representing Romania's rural architecture. Finally, enjoy a walking tour through the Old Town.
Day 2: Travel to Poienari Castle, Vlad the IMpaler's most important stronghold. The fortress is located on the highest cliff around Arges Gorges in the Carpathian Mountains. Next you'll visit Curtea de Arges Monstery, which is comprised of the Princely Church and Old Court ruins, the Episcopal Church, and the unique Olari Church.
Day 3: In the morning, you'll take the stunning Olt Valley road to Sibiu, giving you a view of one of the most spectacular and beautiful areas in Romania where mountains, river and forest combine. In Sibiu, visit the Evangelical Church, the Bridge of Lies, the historical center, Brukenthal National Museum, the Stairs Passage, Holy Trinity Cathedral, and antique & souvenir shops.
Day 4: You'll travel from Sibiu to Bucovina where you'll visit two of the famous painted monasteries, Humor and Voronet, known as the 'Sistine Chapel of the East.'
Day 5: You'll visit other painted churches like Sucevita with its distinctive greens and Moldovita where the frescoes are predominantly red. Visit the Painted Eggs Museum that exhibits the largest collection of painted eggs in Romania and one of the most important in Europe.
Day 6: You'll take the road that slices through the Bicaz Gorges, among Romania's most staggering and spectacular. Next you'll visit Sighisoara highlighted by the Clock Tower & History Museum, Church on the Hill, House of Dracula, and pupils roofed stairways.
Day 7: You'll see the Fortified Church of Biertan, a UNESCO site, and take a walk though this traditional Transylvanian village. Then you'll visit Brasov where your tour includes visits to Black Church, Ecaterina's Gate, Council Square, City Hall and Palace of Justice.
Day 8: Visit the Fortified Church of Prejmer, one of Eastern Europe’s best preserved fortified churches and UNESCO site. Then discover one of the most famous sights in Romania, Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle), a spectacular medieval dwelling dating from the 14th century. COnclude at Rasnov Fortress
Day 9: Visit Peles Castle, located in Sinaia, considered one of the most beautiful castles in all of Europe. Next visit the Sinaia Monastery and the Orthodox Monastery, before returning to Bucharest.
Day 10: Say goodbye after your 10-day adventure in Romania, with transfer to the airport and departure.
