Our journey will start with a visit to the Sinaia Monastery, where you will see the long 300 years of treasure trove and meaningful history. Duration: 20 minutes
Stop At: Peles Castle, Str. Pelesului 2, Sinaia 106100 Romania
We will continue our journey in the Prahova Valley, at the foot of the Bucegi mountains, place well known for both wine and winter sports (even if not both at the same time). The Peles Castle is considered to be one of the most beautiful castles in Europe. The location was not to be chosen by mistake, but by the stunning mountain scenery of which King Carol I of Romania felt in love with.
After enjoying a traditional Romanian lunch (own expense), we will slowly step into the medieval ages, as Brasov is proudly boasting to be Transylvania’s most impressive medieval town. After enjoying a traditional Romanian lunch (own expense), we will slowly step into the medieval ages, as Brasov is proudly boasting to be Transylvania’s most impressive medieval town.
Duration: 2 hours
Stop At: Brasov Historical Center, Piazza Sfatului, Brasov Romania
There’s a thoughtful reason behind the royal name gave back in the 13th Century by the early German settlers, who named Brasov ‘The Crowned City’ ‘(Kronstadt). Later on in history, the habsburgic flavor will accompany the Soviet influence as the city will be named Stalin, even though for a very short period of time. Beyond the great heritage for which the city deserves its prestige, Brasov is an exceptionally relaxed place to walk aimlessly, admiring the old buildings charming facades or just stop for the great restaurants or bohemian cafés which you will find at any step.
Duration: 1 hour
No meals included on this day.
Accommodation included: After a full day, you can return to your 3* hotel where you can enjoy your evening.
Day 2: Bran Castle - Rasnov Citadel- Return to Bucharest
Stop At: Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle), Str. General Traian Mosoiu nr. 24, Bran 507025 Romania
This fang-tastic attraction for any vampire lover, Bran castle is the home of the toothsome character who stalked our most scary nightmares. Alternatively, can be seen as a rich medieval heritage in Romania, a royal palace in a not so common part in Europe. One of the leading attractions in Romania, the castle has been built by the Saxons back in the 1212 in order to defend the locals from the Turkish invasion.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Stop At: Rasnov Citadel, Unirii Square no. 12, Rasnov 505400 Romania
Part of a trio of landmarks in Transylvania, along with Peles and Bran castles, this citadel is full of history, being built as the only chance of survival against the enemies, after the Mongolian invasion who left Barsa country completely devastated.
