Walking tour in Sighisoara, the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler. Visit the medieval citadel, the Clock Tower and the Church on the Hill.

Day 5: Cluj Napoca-Surdesti-Sapanta-Sighet-Maramures (4h drive)

Visit the UNESCO site of Surdesti wooden church.

Visit the famous Merry Cemetery with carved and painted crosses on which the artisan has chiseled out versified epitaphs.

Visit Sapanta Peri Convent, the tallest wooden structure in the world and the Sighet communist prison

Enjoy a traditional rich dinner and meet a local family

Overnight in Maramures village: guest house, rooms with private bathroom

Day 6: Maramures-Barsana-Bucovina (5h drive)

Visit the house of a local wood carver who took part at the Smithsonian World Festival in Washington.

Visit Barsana Convent.

Visit the Convent of Moldovita (UNESCO Monument).

Visit the convent of Sucevita (UNESCO Monument).

Overnight in Bucovina

Day 7: Bucovina-Bicaz-Szeklerland (5h 40min drive)

Visit the Convent of Voronet (UNESCO Monument) boasting the Doomsday scene, unique in the whole world.

Drive to the core of the Hungarian minority, in Szeklerland.

Scenic drive along Bicaz Gorge and stop at the Red Lake

Overnight in Szeklerland

Day 8: Szeklerland-Brasov-Bran-Sinaia-Bucharest (5h drive)

Walking tour of Brasov with visit of the old town.

Visit the famous Bran castle also known as Dracula’s castle

Visit Peles Royal Castle from Sinaia, one of the most beautiful castles in the whole Europe (ground floor only).

Day 9: Bucharest (30min drive)

In the morning free time in Bucharest and transfer to the airport.
