The largest in Europe, Slanic Prahova salt mine is famous for its pure air, free from pollution or radiations and has become popular for its saline aerosols with therapeutic effects. The constant gas eruptions from 3km deep push up a mixture of salty water and mud, creating at the surface, as the overflow cools down, a solid conical structure resembling a real volcano.
