One of the oldest monuments in Bucharest, this monastery survives only partially in its original structure after being moved, in 1985, from its original location to be saved from communist demolitions.

The second largest administrative building in the world, the Parliament, or the House of the People, is the masterpiece of megalomaniac dictator Nicolae Ceausescu. A monument that compares to nothing else in the world.
