Although this does not probably come up on most people's lists as a great tour stop, it is a must see in Budapest. I have done it several times and enjoyed it each time.
The tour was 45 minutes. It was interesting. If I had to do it again I'd book in country. Viator provided hotel pick-up and drop off--that's it--we met our Hungarian tour guide who gave us the tour of Parliament at a local tour office. Viator's Terms and Conditions are misleading as they do not mention that you may have to be very flexible. Our tour was cancelled/rescheduled three times and one, in our party of three, was unable to make the tour. Holiday time is precious and having to reschedule three times was a nuisance at best. Can't recommend this service as they don't provide service.
This tour was a scam and completely unnecessary. The parliament is definitely worth seeing but there is no reason to use this tour. All tours are conducted by parliament personnel only. This is not a personal tour by your guide. We paid 50 per person for transportation to the parliament and entrance ticket and nothing else. The tour guide was completely useless...gave us no information. She simply escorted into the parliament building and handed out our tickets. I could have taken a taxi to the parliament for approximately 15 for three people and bought my tickets in advance online for 25 each for a total of 30 per person as opposed to the 50 per person on this tour. The only reason to buy this tour is if you have no ability to take a taxi to the parliament. The tour description is misleading in that the tour is conducted by parliament personal not by the tour guide who escorted us in and there is no one from the tour waiting for us at the end.
This is a must do.
Amazing building. The tour guide was very thorough and enjoyable to listen to. A wonder how any work gets done in a building so beautiful.
Do this tour on your own no need to pay extra for the tour
