Pass By: Varhegy, Szent Gyorgy Ter Square Buda Castle, Budapest 1014 Hungary
Begin your tour with a pick up from your Budapest hotel and travel to Heroes’ Square, one of the three largest squares in the city. Take in sights such as the Millennium Monument and the Museum of Fine Arts before continuing onward to the magnificent Vajdahunyad Castle near the City Park lake. Completed in the early 20th century, the castle is an intriguing mix of Gothic, Renaissance and Romanesque architectural styles.
Leave the sites of City Park (Városliget) behind you and head to Andrássy Avenue, a UNESCO World Heritage site and popular spot for shopping in Budapest. Enjoy fine views of the Hungarian State Opera House and the grand townhouses that line the avenue. Learn of the area’s rich history from your knowledgeable guide.
Marvel at the towering minarets of the Dohány Street Synagogue, one of the largest in the world, and St Stephen's Basilica, widely considered to be the most important church in Hungary. Continue onward to the home of the Hungarian Parliament, and hear how the nation’s fortunes play out within the walls of this spectacular building.
Drive onward to Budapest’s Castle District and take in the many sites of interest here: Buda Castle, Matthias Church and Fisherman’s Bastion. Discover ancient, winding alleyways and capture the beautiful views on camera as you head onward to explore Gellért Hill and the Citadel.
Upgrade your tour and enjoy a 1-hour cruise along the Danube River with a welcome drink. Hear more about Budapest’s fascinating past with your personal audio guide, and see this ancient city from a whole new angle.
After four or five hours discovering the highlights of the Hungarian capital, your tour will come to an end in the Castle District or, if you have upgraded, at the city center pier.

The tour covered all points of interest with the guide being a good historian. However the tour ended with an unsatisfactory boat trip where we were abandoned by the guide with no information as to how to return to the hotel. There were no seats on the boat which ended the tour on a sour note.
The tour was not at all what was described in the booking. The tour guide had no information regarding the optional Danube River Cruise which we paid for. Poorly executed tour itself and very disappointed overall. Once we figured out the River Cruise portion this was the only positive aspect of the whole day. I would not recommend.
4 hour tour took us all around the city. Guide was knowledgeable and good. I was only disappointed that we seemed to see several things only from the outside Mathias Church, St. Stephen's Church etc. Should have had a few more stops to get down and see.
