Start with us to the Castle Hill from Batthyány Square, which is a highlight in itself. We will have a walk along the Danube Bank and enjoy the view on the Parliament, theChain Bridge, the Royal Palace and the Royal Garden with it’s romantic buildings.

An escalator will bring you up to the Castle Hill, where an unique panoramic view is waiting. You will understand why the river banks are UNESCO protected WORLD HERITAGE.

In the Castle District you will be amazed by the Royal Palace, you will see the seat of the Hungarian President, the Alexander-Palace and the Funicular next to it.

Nearby is the building of the National Dance-Theater.

Breath the flair and athmosphere of the small streets of the Castle Area, before reaching Holy Trinity Square and the landmarks of Budapest: The Matthias-Church and the Fishermen’s Bastion.

After that dive down a flight of stairs into the Labyrinth into a diferent world. Narrow corridors, archaic walls and an adventure in twilight.

Say good-bye to the Underworld and leave the Castle Area on the Castle Stairs to return to Batthyany Square, our starting point.

GETTING TO BATTHYÁNY SQUARE: take the underground line 2. (M2, line RED) until the BATTHÁNY TÉR. We meet at the Batthány statue next to the door of the church.
