Itinerary

The experience will take place in a local wine bar in the city center. This unique experience includes the tasting of natural wines produced from mainly indigenous Hungarian grape varieties. The wines that you will taste during the experience are crafted by the small family wineries. The wines are picked very carefully from the most important wine regions of Hungary. The experience will start with the introduction to Hungary as a wine producing country (history, facts, present situation). Later, you will learn about the most important regions, native grape varieties of the country, wine-making technologies applied for each wine, Hungarian food & wine pairing. You will have the tasting of 5 wines by glass paired with bread and cheese tapas. We will taste wines starting from dry whites finishing by well-known Tokaj dessert wines. The tasting will be led by the host - Gvantsa, and all the wines will be described and overviewed together with you. You will receive the paper with a wine list where you can make some notes as well.
